The venue for the conference, as well as the house, was also chosen successfully - in the pearl of Ukraine on the southern coast of Crimea.

The plenary session was opened by the report of the Head of the School of Underground Mining, Head of the Department of Underground Mining of the National Mining University prof. VI Bondarenko. It presents the current state of the world fuel balance and forecasts the development of extraction and use of the main raw materials and minerals of the modern world economic system.

A. Holeksa, P. Khmel, M. Lubryk, and E. Slivinsky provided information on the features of the development of near-barrel security pillars. This experience of Polish colleagues is especially important, as the results have been put into practice in the conditions of the Yasmos mine of the Jastrzębia Coal Union.

On the first day of the School's work, the geomechanical aspects of the management of the mountain during the development of mineral deposits were considered, they were implemented in two reports. In the presentation of I.A. Kovalevskaya, GA Simanovich and OI The blacksmith provides a mathematical mechanism for determining the geometric parameters of the stress field in the zone of the hinged-block shift of the coal angle in the clearing face.
