The purpose of the conference was to discuss current issues in the development of the mining industry, exchange best practices, and establish cooperation between scientists and practitioners.
The main topics covered at the conference were:
- The current state and prospects of the mining industry in Ukraine
- Safety issues in mining operations
- New technologies for the extraction and processing of minerals
- Application of digital technologies in the mining industry
- Hydrogen energy and transformation of coal regions of Ukraine
Based on the results of the conference, a number of recommendations were adopted aimed at the development of the mining industry in Ukraine, namely:
1. Expanding the School's representation
It was recommended to expand the School's representation with participants from leading mining countries.
2. Implementation of new scientific and technical developments
It was recommended that mining enterprises and organizations implement new scientific and technical developments, such as:
- Use of digitalization and computer modeling technologies for mining objects
- Taking into account the regularities of the distribution of support pressure, the location of zones of increased rock pressure and capital mine workings in unloading zones, natural and technogenic sources of water during the development of reserves when planning mining operations
- Application of the system of pneumatic cleaning of coal bunkers at mines
- Implementation of the system of loading of fine-fractioned rock
- Use of the grab cleaning system of the sump part of auxiliary shafts
- Application of the technology of dismantling the shearer complex without a dismantling chamber
- Optimization of the technology of construction workings
- Implementation of sewage treatment facilities at mines
- Use of adhesive resins and foaming materials when carrying out work in difficult mining and geological conditions
- Use of crushed rock in the process of fastening main workings
- Application of control and monitoring systems for shearer combines CLS 450, CLS 550P, KDK 500
- Use of rolling bearings with antifriction solid lubricant filler
- Application of the technology of extraction of fine-dispersed coal sludge using a centrifugal deslamator for processing plants
